Ian Watson
Chairman

Ian began his career in stockbroking and investment banking in Canada where he became one of the five Executive Committee members of Burns Fry (now BMO Nesbitt Burns), one of Canada's largest investment banking firms. When he resigned, he was in charge of the firm's European business.

From 1982 until 1985 Ian was Chairman and founder of Centennial Minerals Ltd, a public gold mining company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Three years after it started, the company's success was reflected by a friendly take-over by Pegasus Gold for $40 million in shares and warrants.

Ian was co-founder, Chairman & Managing Director of Galahad Gold PLC, which was founded in 2003. Galahad made four strategic investments, including Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd., Uramin Inc. and International Molybdenum PLC. He was a Director of all of these companies. In early 2008, Galahad's investments were sold and the proceeds returned to shareholders. Over its four year life, Galahad enjoyed a 66% annual IRR.

Brian Groves
Director, President, and CEO

Brian has 30 years experience in the mining and exploration industries in Canada and Australia. He has worked with junior exploration, junior producing and senior mining companies including AMAX, Noranda and Placer Dome. This varied background has afforded him the opportunity to gain experience in the exploration and evaluation of mineral properties and the management of junior companies. He has established an extensive network of contacts within the industry in Canada and internationally. Brian is a director of Riverside Resources and Kootenay Gold.

 
Donald Coxe
Director

Mr. Coxe has more than thirty-nine years of institutional investment experience in North America and has maintained a highly visible presence in major business communities as an advisor to corporate boards and speaker for business conferences and industry events worldwide. He has been a strategic consultant to several major gold mining companies over the last decade.

Mr. Coxe is Strategy Advisor to BMO Financial Group and Chairman of Coxe Advisors LLP. His investment journal, Basic Points, published since 1992, and his conference calls are distributed exclusively to BMO clients in North America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Coxe also heads up the Global Commodity Strategy investment management team - a collaboration of Coxe Advisors and Harris Investments. He is advisor to the Coxe Commodity Strategy Fund and the Coxe Global Agribusiness Income Fund in Canada, and the Virtus Global Commodity Stock fund in the US.

Mr. Coxe has consistently been named as a top portfolio strategist by Brendan Wood International and was awarded a lifetime achievement award in 2011. He was ranked number one in the 2007, 2008 and 2009 surveys.

 
Jim Rogers
Director

Mr. Rogers is a critically acclaimed author, financial commentator and successful international investor. He is frequently featured in such publications as Time, The New York Times, Barron's, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times and is a regular guest on television shows around the world.

Mr. Rogers is a co-founder of the Quantum Fund, a global investment partnership. After electing to retire at the age of 37, Mr. Rogers has served as a professor of finance at Columbia University's school of business and has written four books on investment, including Hot Commodities, Adventure Capitalist and Investment Biker. Mr. Rogers also designed the widely followed Rogers Commodity Indices(tm) and travels the world highlighting the case for investment in commodities as an asset class.

 
Dr. Morris Beattie
Director

Morris has 40 years experience in both technical and corporate aspects of the mining industry. He has a PhD in Mining and Mineral Process Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He has gained extensive experience in all aspects of extractive metallurgy and project development. Morris' experience also includes due diligence studies, audits, preliminary economic evaluation of projects as well as directing and contributing to project feasibility studies.

Morris has served as a Director of Galahad Gold Plc, directing the development of Galahad's projects, including preliminary economic evaluations, drill programs and feasibility studies. He was also a Director of Northern Dynasty Minerals, contributing to the development of the Pebble copper-gold Project in Alaska. More recently, until 2008, he served as Vice President - Project Evaluations with Quadra Mining Ltd.

Since 2009 he has provided advisory services to the UK based Junior Gold Fund as well as to Spanish Mountain Gold Ltd.

 
Dale Corman
Director

Dale graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, in 1961 and attained Professional Engineer status in Ontario in 1972. He has 30 years experience as a senior corporate officer of publicly listed companies in Canada and the United States. He has extensive expertise in mineral and geothermal exploration and development, property evaluation and acquisition, project financing, and corporate management. From 1995 to 2006, Dale was Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Western Silver Corporation. He is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Western Copper and Gold Corporation.

 
Christopher Lattanzi
Director

Christopher is a mining engineer and was President of Micon International Limited, mineral industry consultants from its founding in 1988 to mid-2005. He has been active in the consulting area since 1967 when he joined David S. Robertson & Associates, Micon's predecessor firm. Prior to joining Robertson & Associates, he was in charge of mine design and operation for Canada's first oil sands operation. He has directed or participated in the preparation of feasibility studies for mineral deposits in Canada, the United States, Africa, Europe and Asia. These projects have involved base metals, precious metals and potash, and initial capital expenditures of up to about $500 million. Christopher recently served as Chairman and lead director of Meridian Gold Corp. prior to that company's merger with Yamana Resources Inc.

 
James Clare
Director

James is a lawyer at Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP in Toronto specializing in Mining, Corporate Securities, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Mr. Clare has worked at the Ontario Securities Commission in the Corporate Finance Branch and on numerous transactions in the resource sector. He has significant experience in Canadian and international public and private corporate finance transactions, representing both issuers and underwriters. He has also advised public issuers on general corporate and securities law matters including stock exchange listings, continuous disclosure obligations and other regulatory compliance issues. James also serves as a director of Riverside Resources Inc.
